How to Turn Your Green Dollar Black in the Hair Care Industry

Although African Americans make up 13% of the U.S. population, just 7% of small businesses are owned by them. Access to capital, clientele, and other resources have hindered many Black Americans  from starting businesses, despite their long history of entrepreneurship. According to a recent study  by the Nielsen Company, African Americans have over $1 trillion in collective buying power, making them “more relevant than ever” as consumers.

With this in mind, three millennial sisters have joined forces to start a beauty brand that is made and created for the black buyer. Their new beauty brand Kazmaleje has announced a crowdfunding campaign to aid the launch of their first product line, Curl Care Detanglers TM. This line of patent pending hair tools is an innovative solution for women, men, and children with textured hair, helping to manage their natural kinks, curls and coils. These hair tools will serve as the foundation upon which the brand will extend into the self-care, leisure apparel,  and home accessories categories.

With a goal of only $20,000 to put their line in production, the naturalista sister trio behind this innovative brand is using social media and the power of the black dollar to jumpstart their brand.

The ultimate goal of the Stirrup sisters is to be the go-to brand consumers look to when they think of stylish, smart lifestyle accessories that can be used during beauty and grooming rituals. It is their mission to help consumers reclaim and revamp those intimate “self-care” moments with products that are designed to meet their specific needs.

Help contribute to the launch of this much needed brand for the black community and hair care industry. The official campaign dates are from June 6, 2018 to July 6, 2018. For more information about Kazmaleje or how you can help bring their vision to reality, visit   https://ifundwomen.com/projects/kazmaleje
