No Time to Workout? Quick Tips To Cut Down & Stay Healthy
Trust me, I get it. I get how hard it is to find enough hours in the day to work, eat, feed yourself and/or your family, sleep AND WORKOUT. On top of just not having the time, factor in worrying about how to work out hard and keep your hair in a reasonable condition! Although everyone has different levels of physical activity that they would need to stay fit, I’ve found that incorporating these five habits into my daily life allows me a little more wiggle room when it comes to staying fit and feeling healthy.
1. Water is key: Cut out the juice and soda and drink water all day every day! It may be hard at first but it will keep your skin clear and your body light.
2. Eat smaller portions, more often: Some people think that starving themselves is the key to losing weight but it is actually the exact opposite. The less you eat the more your body will train itself to hold on to fat and calories because it knows it won’t receive anything else.
3. Take the stairs: Find any moment you can to do physical activity! Take the stairs, walk to the store on the corner, you will thank yourself for it later.
4. Keep the cocktails to a minimum: I know it’s a hot girl summer and the Casamigos is flowing everywhere you go but alcohol will be your worst enemy when trying to keep the pounds off. Try only drinking alcohol on the weekends.
5. Cut the carbs: I know we are used to having some kind of carb included on our dinner plate, try subbing out the rice for an extra helping of a vegetable.
Incorporate these small habits into your daily life and it will help ease the guilt of not making it to the gym every day, trust me!
