Know who your audience is. Make sure that you have identified who your target audience is before creating any messaging to reach them. Whether it be moms, adults without kids or gen Z, make sure you know who your brand is for and why.
BFFR, set realistic goals. Don’t put unnecessary pressure on yourself! Set small, attainable goals while you are building up your brand. Rome wasn’t built in a day!
Develop a clear message. Once you know your audience, make sure you know exactly what you want to say to them. How do you want your brand to feel to consumers? What are key things they should know about your brand?
Know who you are competing against. Who is your competition? It is easy to develop a clear message and plan for success when you know who else is operating in your market and what is and isn’t working for them.
Keep it relevant. Knowing your audience is one thing, but making sure your messaging means something to them is another. It is important that your messaging is up to date and aligns with current trends and market needs. Don’t push your turtleneck sweaters in June!
