Fashion Month Beauty: A Look Down Memory Lane
September issues of Vogue have arrived and the air is starting to become a little more crisp. The temperature is dropping and that black leather jacket is ready to reclaim it's time. Fall Fashion Month is here! This week, runways have been bombarded with SS18 deigns and the stage was set for what to expect this coming spring. In anticipation for the full recap of the projected beauty trends (and of course, I'll keep you up to date), here's a blast to the past at previous year's trends you may have forgotten about. Enjoy!
1993 - Black Lip Liner and thin eyebrows
This was IT! The 90s were full of athletic wear, bandanas and severely thin brows. On the lips you'd use your black eyeliner and pair it with a brick red lipstick or even a clear gloss. Talk about maxin and relaxin in style, just like Brandy.
1999 - Blue Eyeshadow
No matter the shade, a wash of blue eyeshadow was IT! Especially if it had a satin or shimmer finish! Just like Jenny from the block.
2005 - Colorful liner and frosty lips
Blue, Green, and purple liner were a hit and any shade of lipstick would do, especially brown. Just dont forget the frost! Take it from Rihanna.
2010- bangs and pastel pink lips
Remember Candy Yum Yum by MAC.... What a time to be alive. Everyone wanted to be a Barbie. Just like.... well taking some variables of inspiration from, Nick Minaj.
2013 - Bold brows and heavy highlighting
Blame the launch of Marc Jacobs Beauty but bold brows were sure to create a statement back in 2013. The makeup artist secret of Highlighting and contouring had just surfaced and some. Take a look at Kim Kardashian.
