Top 5 Fall TV Premieres for You To Check Out On Your Next Lazy Sunday

Fall is finally here and one of my favorite things about the season is the return of Fall TV. During this time, broadcast networks and streaming platforms release a high volume of content that they have been marketing all summer. The weather has officially transitioned which means it has become harder for me to want to go out and the weekends are becoming my favorite time to cuddle up with a blanket and catch up on all of these shows. With all of these streaming platforms and original content being created, it can be hard to remember what premieres on what night and to keep up in general with everything you want to see. Check out our top five picks of the best shows and movies to check out this month.

  1. Squid Game (Netflix)

Okay so if you haven’t seen this South Korean survival drama,  buckle up because you are in for a wild ride. The series tells the story of a group of people who are struggling financially that are selected to participate in a series of games. The winner of the games will win a fortune to pay off their debts, however, there is a dark twist to the games that exposes just how far people will go for the love of money.

  2. Impeachment: American Crime Story (FX)

So I have been a huge fan of this FX anthology series for as long as I can remember so I was super excited to catch the latest installment. Impeachment: American Crime Story tells the tale of the national scandal that shook the country and led to the first impeachment of a U.S. President in over a century. The story is told through the lens of the three main women at the center of the events that took place, Monica Lewinsky, Linda Tripp and Paula Jones.

  3. All The Queens Men (BET+)

Okay so this one is for those of you who are fans of shows like Sistas and The Oval. Although I wouldn’t say this is one of the most groundbreaking series I’ve seen, it definitely is one of the most entertaining. This series follows Madam, a vicious lady boss who controls a group of some of the hottest male exotic dancers in Atlanta.

  4. The Wonder Years (ABC)

Honestly the marketing and PR stunts behind this show is what made me tune in! ABC set up a gas station in LA to resemble what they looked like in the 60s and 70s, price included! The show is a Black-centered reimagining of TV's classic exercise in nostalgia and follows a young Black boy and his family through his childhood.

  5. BMF (Starz)

Okay my Power fans, 50 Cent is continuing to crank out the content over at Starz with BMF. BMF follows the story of two brothers who created the Black Mafia Family, the most prominent drug distribution network in American history.

The next time your work day winds down early or your weekend plans fall through, grab a blanket and check these out, let us know what you think!
